They're actually offering a 50/50 deal now. Not as good as doing it for 30% like L&L. Quirky may have a better offer now. But if you don't have to do anything... I think their special if kitchen and bath products now.

4 more years will be tough on us inventors. Banks aren't lending. We need thriving businesses that want to look at new products, and an economy with people with money able to buy. Really doesn't look good for us right now. New wave of layoffs hitting after the election news. The gov can't do anything right. Inventors... you ARE presenting a business proposition and want to earn money, so guess what that makes you...

•You can join the "UIA" for "free," then email Mark Reyland about more specifics on "Edison Nation." Like any "invention company," etc., "EN" has its own unique ways which are often "layered with legalesse paperwork 'up-front' which 'you may sign away everything, including the kitchen sink' and not even know it." Personally I would stear clear; "EN" is NOT the same company as it originally was... years and years ago.... Like some other similar companies, even if you "show them your product and present such and they turn it down" they have "often claimed 'they own all the rights' to your product/invention" because it's all in their "dense legal paperwork YOU signed!"

"Mark Reyland" is a great resource and he knows 99% of everyone in the biz. One thing however, Mark won't sign "ANY NDA's" so you'll have to be "generic" about your product and just let him know which "market segment" your product is in and he'll give you "free advice/consult." At least he's "up-front" regarding his convictions "but he has also clearly proven" to be a "mover and a shaker" for those products he takes on...

Oh yeah Mark Reyland is such a great resource for CON'S.This pcs of CRAP only knows what he reads and learns from others. He has NEVER brought a product to retail in his sad little life. He wont sign an NDA because he's afraid it will come back to haunt him when he re-designs someones invention/idea. We love Sean's comment about Reyland being a mover and a shaker for the products he takes on. "OR STEALS" .Oh he's a shaker alright. A SHAKER FULL OF DRIED UP $HIT.

I can personally say "Mark" he helped spear-head the demise of "Absolutely New of San Francisco" through working with the SF DA's office. My company lost $18,000. on these chumps back in their hey day in 2008. Further, even before the company went down, Mark had one of ABNEW's Senior Officers "kicked of the UIA Board of Directors long prior" because of the growing number of FTC and USPTO complaints, ETC.

Reyland didn't spear head $hit,.AbsolutleyNew had their own set of problems in the industry.They screwed over an inventor named Stephen Brown and the UIA board had NO CHOICE to remove Bill Freund, AbNew’s VP of marketing and UIA board member and take away their UIA Certifacation..

 

 Mark Reyland has been working on shutting down Edison Nation, Louis Foreman & Matt Spangard for a few years now. He is sooooooo damn jealous of of these two guys he cant stand it.

Have you read the latest rant in Mark Reyland’s angry blog? People report to only read what he writes for the same reason they can’t help themselves when at the grocery checkout reading the covers of trash magazines. Part boredom part entertainment.

We’ll use first names only because we don’t want Reyland to get the attention he so badly seeks and feels he deserves.

1. He insulted the interviews by Tara on her blog
2. He insulted Stephen’s new book
3. He insulted Roger and Jim’s licensing CD set. Yet he calls Roger his good friend.
4. He insulted Edison Nation

A couple of quotes from his blog:

We did read another blog post last week where he really goes after Edison Nation, although he doesn't name them, for selling hope to inventors for $20.00. Rather sad considering Louis Foreman owns the company and is a very active part of the UIA USA. Is Reyland possibly so jealous from the success of others?

 

Another place in his recent post, Mark Reyland uses the term ‘real professionals’ in the industry YET the way he attacks inventors, people he’s ripped off, companies, ex friends, people he doesn’t know, anything and everything that does NOT involve him, we clearly see who is NOT the professional.

If Reyland claims to speak for inventors, why don't inventors have a say in the process to choose who they want? Maybe the UIA USA is a  dictatorship. 
What professional wants this kind of person speaking on their behalf?  
For the record, all of the inventors we spoke to do NOT want Mark Reyland representing them!

In March 2011, the United Innovation Association UK (UIAUK) was invited by the United Inventors Association of America (UIAUSA) to work collaboratively under a Memorandum of Agreement(MOA).

We accepted, in the belief that such a partnership would benefit the members of both organisations. We agreed to use similar logos & names and to share resources whilst in all other respects to remain independent of one another.

We entered into the relationship with UIAUSA in good faith. However recent issues arising necessitated that we reconsider our position.

After careful consideration we have taken the decision to withdraw from the MOA with immediate effect and to have no further dealings with the UIAUSA.

As such this decision requires that we change our name and branding and all associated collateral such as URL and email addresses.

These changes will be completed within two weeks.

All services provided to all members and our support of them will remain unaffected.

Weeks back we wrote about Mark approaching inventors in the UK and we took this as an indication of him wanting to ‘branch out’. The above post does back our earlier thoughts. What Simon writes fits perfectly with Mark’s plans to mislead readers into thinking the UIA USA was growing globally and the UIA UK was part of the UIA USA.
