I have a patent...big deal

Not a day goes by I don't meet an inventor who tells me about their patent. Really, on airplanes, in meetings, presentations, even walking down the street. Thousands of them a year want to talk about the great patent they received on an invention they will never commercialize.

It has been said that an uncommercialized invention is a hobby, and a patented uncommercialied invention is an expensive hobby.

Why do these kind, hope filled inventors always want to go off and get a patent before they have a plan for making money back on their investment? It's simple economics isn't it? Doesn't it revolve around the principles of risk and return like any other investment?

The answer is yes, inventing is an exercise in risk and return just like any other commercial function that requires the exchange of currency. Simple - You do things in the process that will reduce your risk while maximizing your return.

So we get a patent, logically reducing the risk our idea will be ripped off, but greatly increasing the financial risk as we lay thousands of dollars on the line.

The inventor doesn't often think about the monetary risks because they are so focused on the ingrained paranoia of the process. The fact is that risk is risk, and in most cases (not all) the risk of getting ripped off is tiny compared to the level of risk you create when you dump money into something you will never end up commercializing.

Reyland's Premature Ejection

As usual, Mark and his sidekick, inventor Roger Brown started calling inventors stalkers and whiners while trying to convince others that their own lies was actually the truth. It looks like it backfired. This is what appears to have happened.

Mark and Roger start their usual name calling stuff and drive the thread the way they want it to go. As soon as Mark thinks he's on the brink of being exposed as a liar, again, he deletes the thread and sends his buddy Roger in to ask stupid questions he already knows the answers to. Don't you hate that Mark makes you look so stupid Roger? Reyland and Roger then email out announcements of victory. Of course, they copy the thread before Mark deletes it and adds the incomplete discussion thread to their John Doe blog, also as a victory of exposing the truth tellers as liars. It didn't work. A little premature, don't you think Mark? We're sure you're no stranger to those words.

He didn't want to wait for the true outcome of the thread. Now the thread has been re-started so it can finish the way it was intended to finish, with the truth exposed by a party who only wanted to sort out the truth. Looks like this may just be the beginning.

People don't generally like it when you attempt to treat them like idiots. Reyland and Roger need to stop using inventors as their play toys. Looks like Reyland may be stalking another inventor's family now. Too bad Warren Tuttle appears not to give two craps about inventors and continues to hide his head and ride out his time as President of the United Inventors Association. Shame on you Warren Tuttle!

THE MARK REYLAND BBQ IN INVENTION LAND Part 2

Now I get Rogers email, its still the same stuff. So I email back asking do you have the email in which Derek agrees to post about mark for free patent searches. He replies back , no I never said I had them it must have been miscommunication. Miscommunication my ass , I clearly asked to see the emails where Derek agrees to post against Mark in exchange for free patent searches. How can you miscommunicate that ! He must have been hoping that all the stuff that he sent would influence my decision. Now I'm really urinated because I apologized to Mark and said I believed him based on anticipating seeing the email that I hadn't seen after all.

So the next day I get an email from Roger asking if I deleted Marks discussion, its not there. Roger knows that the only ones that can delete a discussion are the one who posted it , the group owner and linked in. But I think this was his attempt to look confused as to how it got deleted.

We all know how it got deleted either by the group owner which could have happened or by Mark that more likely happened. Just as with Fayad, when I exposed him he deleted his discussion. I think that Mark did too because I told him I was going to rip the guilty party apart, and it didn't look good for him.

As I promised it will be quite entertaining for all to see when the time comes. Also I have invented a very specail parting gift for the looser, that I'm sure will get repetitive use.

I just ask that anything you post make sure you can prove it to everyone. Its not a Mark mob where everyone can sling dirt. I'm not saying that that's what you're doing, I just want to make sure that prove your claims. As far as proof on Mark about contacting Tania husbands work, I now have proof he did it even when he told me he didn't. This contact was clearly to disrupt her husbands employment. And he did so from a UIA computer when hes on the job. Also there is proof that he knowingly had his name put on the PPA that Tania invented. I know you know way more than me about him and you have seen this proof I speak of. I'm just posting it so everyone knows I have seen proof before I accuse him. john

THE MARK REYLAND BBQ AT INVENTIONLAND Mark Reyland is the director of the UIA. Again once a scam is exposed, they delete the discussion, so I have to start it up all over !!

As many of you may know Ive been on another group the past few days trying to get to the bottom of the accusations against Mark Reyland.

The reason I call it THE MARK REYLAND BBQ AT INVENTIONLAND is because because I posted a comment saying I was on a fence, one side Mark Reyland and Roger Brown BBQing hamburgers and hot dogs in BBQ sauce stained t-shirts and on the other side is Derek Pater and Tania { the alleged victim } with music, steak and shrimp. And Invention land is where this accusation of a scam has taken place.

Mark posted something about an event that was coming up. This when Derek started commenting about Marks wrong doings and as director of the UIA that this was unacceptable behavior for someone that represents inventors and their interests. Derek showed all kinds of information about this. So I wanted to find out the truth, I asked Mark about these accusations on a comment, but instead of Mark responding, Roger Brown stepped up to bat for him. I questioned Roger about the emails that were submitted as proof of Marks wrong doings. Roger said neither one of us were there so we don't know what happened. Fair enough, but the emails said it all, I questioned him further asking , Based on the emails alone would you say that Mark had his name put on Tania's PPA without her knowledge, YES or NO. Again he dodged the question.

After some prodding by me for Mark to answer his own questions, he finally commented. Saying he would not discuss it on the Internet for all to see and to call him and he would answer any questions I had. I commented back OK but just so you know before hand its not going to remain private.

So I called him and left my # and the next day he called. We spoke for a wile, Mark explained everything in a very lengthy manner and I was believing him. But towards the end of the conversation he couldn't answer why his attorney put his name on another inventors PPA. In the emails from his attorney say that Mark told him to put his name on it. So I thought it could some how be miscommunication and let it ride. Then Mark told me that Derek's motive in this was to get free patent searches from one of Marks accusers in exchange for Derek posting about Mark. He said that Roger Brown had the emails to prove it. At this point I was very highly urinated at Derek and the others and was sure that I would soon see the email that proves it. So at the end of our conversation I apologise for my provoking comments and Mark then told me that Roger may not respond rite away because he had jury duty that day. So after the conversation I thought how would Mark know about Rogers jury duty unless they have been talking through all this.

After I emailed Roger and asked to see the emails between Derek and the other person agreeing to post for patent searches. Roger sent me a long list of emails between himself and Derek along with blogs about the accusations. I went through all of it and still couldn't find it. So I sent another email to Roger saying To send only the email pertaining to Derek and the other person . Wile I was waiting thinking that I'm going to see it I sent Mark a message saying that if this is true that I'm going to make Derek pay and might follow them around posting the email for all to see their true motive, for what they did to Mark and told him I believed him, thinking I'm soon to see this email Ive been waiting for.

During this time I get an email from Tania showing that Mark emailed her husbands work saying that she was being investigated by the FBI and RMCP for organized crime. I asked Mark about this in our conversation,asking did you call Tania's husbands work saying that she was being investigated. He said absolutely not, I guess I should have rephrased the question to did you call or email. Now this is proof that he is lying and has lied directly to me, now I'm leaning on Derek's side of the fence again.

Reyland Doesn't Want It to End

Seeing as Mark Reyland is STILL being unfair to inventors, he obviously does not want any of this to end. Does he love drama to keep him entertained; or does he simply enjoy breaking laws and daring people to a challenge. Whatever the reason, it doesn`t matter. The trail is endless and we`ll keep walking down it until he stops denying what he did, comes clean about his biography and faces what he needs to face. By the way, we know who created his bio for him and they did so before knowing he was a conman.

Going through the fulfillment place he uses, Karen Carson Creations, we easily saw his company website where he still shows Ba'noodle. It was months ago when mark Reyland's company offered the letter to the inventor and stated they would remove it ASAP. They STILL cannot make Mark remove the product.

Do you think this kind of person should be part of any organization which claims to help inventors? Maybe he only helps inventors when Reyland has no interest in their invention. If he thinks your invention will make money he will try to get involved, somehow.

 By the looks of things, Reyland ONLY has his TwistCaps and Nova Grips left.

 Pretty pathetic when you think about it.

HEY REYLAND! Why don`t you stop stalking, searching for and harrassing this inventor, just like you did Patrice and do what`s required of you. REMOVE her product from your company website!

Does Reyland Enjoy Attacking Women?

Other than his possible disrespect for women, we’re wondering why Mark Reyland of the UIA would set out to bash another female owned business, so we went to see if we could find the issue THIS time. Here’s the site ran by some very successful women and it appears to be growing. Why wouldn’t we all cheer them on?  www.womentorz.com

We see Stephen’s new book and Invention Home’s website advertising on there. So what’s the problem? Does Mark want Womentorz to become a UIA member and they declined? We’re told this leads to this type of public bashing/ harrassment and bullying by Mark Reyland.

Is Mark angry they have Invention Home advertising on there when the owner of Invention Home is on the board of the UIA? Did he feel since they have a board member, they should give into him?

Does Mark have hurt feelings and feels the need to lash out?

Is Mark angry Stephen’s new book it on their site because Mark has personal jealousy problems with Stephen? It’s no secret in the inventing community this has always been the case and Reyland doesn’t like Stephen’s informative site for inventors. It’s all free information and contacts here at www.inventornotes.com but Mark isn't listed as an expert.

Is Mark angry Womentorz won’t feature him as some sort of expert and advertise his UIA “blog of anger” which nobody appears to have interest in reading?  

Mark Reyland always appears angry at someone or bashing someone’s business publicly, either under his UIA title or some fictional character he creates and then spends more hours than the week holds in public forums and sending emails trying to destroy businesses, inventors' products and/or individuals.  We've heard he's the king of accounts when leaving complaints on sites about inventors' products and especially had it out for EN at one point.  

Mark’s quoted in his blog of anger, that he was contacted to review the value offered on the Womentorz site.

Our opinion? Nobody asked him his opinion; maybe he just needed a way to start off his bashing against another woman owned company. If he didn’t know about Womentorz for the past couple of years, then we suggest he doesn’t know the female inventing community at all like he claims but the truth is probably more that he felt thrown aside or ignored by them when he wants to be part of their growth and make them UIA approved. Maybe the claims made about him hating strong women holds some truth to it? 

The other quote from Mark Reyland’s UIA blog of anger we find interesting is him calling down members of forums and insulting them. Calling people lonely and needing a false identity to hide behind. 

He also insists most information found on inventing is wrong or even damaging when we have no evidence he’s even an inventor himself! How does he teach something we have no evidence of him ever doing himself?

BUT

Since we’re writing about identities, when he was appearing as Johnny Gee on Edison Nation with the 20-something male model avatar, was this the way he identified himself in his world? And here we just thought it was him conning people to get his own way and wanting to chat to a female inventor he couldn’t seem to leave alone. This begs the question, Is Mark Reyland lonely and needing to break the silence of his own existence? After all, he did write that in his UIA blog of anger.

We say to Womentorz. Don't be surprised if new members begin coming forward and asking why you are not UIA approved or that you should have Mark Reyland as an expert on your site. One may even be name, Jenny Gee!

Damage Control or Sinking Ship!

Looks like Troy Robison has been digging again and come up with new information on Mark Reyland. How long has Reyland been posting in forums and why did the UIA board not find any of this stuff?

One thing's for sure, Mark Reyland, executive director of the United Inventor's Association (UIA USA) appears to be completely losing it in this public forum! A sinking captain ready to drag the entire UIA ship down with him? We wouldn't exactly call it damage control and no kidding why the UIA UK would cut all ties with the UIA USA and even change their name so there's no mistake with affliliation! What real business CEO would even want to be attached to this guy?

Looks like the UIA board members may not be able to contain their liability, Mark Reyland. Don't be surprised when you don't see UIA memberships renewed and board members leave. WOW!

As long as Reyland is in a non- profit organization, position of public trust and continues to con people by stating all things said about him, which includes documentations of proof, is a lie; anyone is well within their legal right to expose or publicly question such a conman. Mark Reyland needs to admit the truth, face the consequenses and then let the UIA and inventors decide if they trust him. Reyland has no stalking case and he knows it.

If you have something a conman feels is worth getting, you are at risk!

 The perverse twist to this theme is that the psychopathic personality may take pleasure in “psychoanalysing” his victims, and casting them as crazy, obsessive and even delusional (and reinforcing his own power as the dominant “rational” figure in the relationship).

Although Reyland claims to have not "taken" a penny from inventors, he apparently has no problem manipulating inventors to spend their money in a way which will line his pockets in the end. The following link shows he has no problem taking from others, although we're sure he claims the courts are lying. We also see his apparent disregard for the law here by ignoring legal calls to appear. 

No wonder he has no problems stalking and terrorizing people; being in trouble with the law is a familiar face to Reyland. We know now why his previous business went belly up. Strange how it wasn't an inventing business yet he's been in this industry for how many "claimed" years?
