Rip Offs - Lies - and Child Exploitation?

We've heard Reyland lost his licensing deal with his rulers and the inventor moved on but can't yet verify the source. We do know Reyland still offers them for sale, although that means nothing because he still offers other products he has zero rights to. We do have this educational link where it shows Mark Reyland lying about another one of his stories. Are any of us really surprised anymore?

http://inventorsspot.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.htm

The story we're really interested in and working on is one where Reyland is claiming it's better for inventors to be ripped off from large companies and corporations rather than inventors going out on their own and wasting their money not knowing what they're doing. WHAT?????? Did he really write that????

Better for who exactly? Apparently he quickly deleted what he wrote once confronted by an inventor. We'll post what we find...and more!

Is Mark Reyland also taking advantage of children on his blog, or should we write the United Inventors Association's blog?  Two young girls, one without parental consent have asked to be removed from his site, promoting his CanCaps/ TwistCaps. The inventor who submitted it made Reyland fully aware that he needed to remove it but so far he has refused. When the inventor initially sent it to Reyland, it was from him harrassing the inventor to produce a video for him with the children in it.

When we asked why she produced a video for him she answered she felt her licensing deal was in jeopardy if she refused and it was only after daily harassing over the period of months, did she agree to ask the girls for the favor. One of the girls was promised product, which never arrived from Reyland. It was also intended for a commercial website, not a blog and not for a conman he turned out to be.

Does this mean Mark Reyland is taking advantage of children and exploiting them against their wishes? In our opinion, yes. Are we surprised? No. Child advocates may be contacted in this case. We'll update you on this issue.

Recently ##### Reynaert and her best friend ##### ##### -Two adorable young ladies from Nanaimo, Canada. Came across some of the Twist Cap

----------------------

Interesting. So not only does he post them without permission on the UIA blog, he gives their full names and location.
Again, it's another lie. No children were so thrilled with his product that they created a video and sent it into his company. Notice one of the last names is the same as the inventor he currently stalks?

Mark T. ReylandGreat find Lesia – and still very true today.

But unfortunately as bad as this problem is it’s not the main problem in our industry. In fact, for every one inventor you show me that got screwed by one of these companies – I’ll show you 10 that screwed themselves over far worse by trying to commercialize their ideas without educating themselves on the process. They simply wasted their money one smaller transaction at a time instead of one big one. The result was still the same – failure.

The reality is as these people explain how they spent, in some cases hundreds of thousands of dollars, on what is now a garage full of product that simply is never going to sell. You can’t help but think it would have been better for them if they had gotten screwed by one of these companies. They would have spent less, and they could park in the garage.

Some inventors reading the above might think there's substance to his statement. Shake your head, it was a mindless and irresponsible thing to write!
We have also been told Mark Reyland knows all too well about having overstock of product in his garage but that doesn't mean because he failed other inventors will too. Many millionaires will tell you the story of how they started up at home. It's not smart to jump in and attempt distribution like a large company when you're not. Maybe this is where Reyland went wrong.

We spoke to a few real inventors who do this professionally and this is what some advise was:

Inventors can learn a lot from venturing out on their own. Every costly mistake will teach how NOT to do that again. Giving money to invention submission companies teaches you nothing. You have no clue what they're buying. The biggest mistake I hear of is people wanting that cost down. They order great volumes to get that cost down per piece. Cut profit and take the higher cost of production. As much as inventors love their product, the chances of 50,000 hits on the website sales or a large order coming in from a company are slim to none in the first while. Order a short run (600-1200 units) and test it. Manufacturers can be bargained with.  This is FAR less money than you'll ever give to any invention submission company for services. Also research distribution and website sales. Find out what it takes to get big orders and traffic to your website. It's all not as easy as it seems. A great product needs to be seen by people or they just can't buy it. Getting the product is the easy part, selling it is a whole new ballgame!

Want a distributor? Research what they sell and who to. There are just as many bad salesreps out there as there are invention submission companies.

Why doesn't Reyland give advise like this? Maybe because he doesn't know any better and is the same as the inventors he makes fun of. We don't really care what happened to Reyland making him the evil conman he is but we do care he appears to advise inventors on how to spend their money not in the best interest of the inventor. Like we've written before, he won't take money from inventors directly but he seems to advise inventors where to spend it which most likely benefits him in some way or other.

Reyland will hate this one seeing as he hates Louis Foreman so much...Go to Edison Nation and read there. They might be what some inventors are looking for. In any event, it's far better than the things Reyland is hurting inventors with.

In our opinion, most inventors are better off staying out of inventor forums (AKA prey forums) where conartists, like Reyland, make their start in the industry and stick to reading from real inventors, who have written real books, who show their real products and do not offer you services, or free referrals to 'friends' in the industry. Your basement is the perfect place to start. Ask Reyland, he has his office in his!

So on one hand we have Mark reyland's good friend, inventor Roger Brown, constantly writing, slamming and whining about certain invention submission companies any chance he gets and on the other hand we have Mark Reyland, executive director of the United Inventors Association advising inventors they're better off lining the pockets of these companies than making their own mistakes? Amazing.

What exactly was the UIA created for again?

Read below what Roger Brown wrote about Davison and wrote in a forum:

Run!!! Do not walk, get as far away from them as you can. Read this post to get a better idea why you should not get involved with them.

Below is a posting from an invention submission companyĆ¢€™s website that was fined 26 million dollars for how they mishandled Inventors. You can see this same statement at the Davison 54 website at the following link.
